Hello Everyone We departed Kumai today 20/8/25 heading to Batam (600 nm) where we will exit Indonesia and check into  Malaysia. It is 35 nm from Batam to Malaysia where we have to navigate across the Singapore Strait which is one of the busiest water ways in the world. We decided to not to check into Singapore as it is far easier to catch a ferry across to the island rather than checking in and out just for a week.  The next photos are of Kumai where we anchored in the Kumai River   You have to have a photo when  you get your haircut. There was only 3 other people on board from Spain and England. The accommodation is very basic but the food and crew where fantastic. The river is a very busy water way...

 Hello Everyone We anchored today (9/8/25) in Kumai on the Kumai River in Kalimantan (Borneo). We have sailed 800 nm since we departed Makassar mainly day sailing. But the last 300 nm there were no good anchorages so it was a 65 hour passage dodging fishing huts, Cargo ships and fishing boats. Sailing to Tubo The next photos are from Tubo. We gave Oreo biscuits to the children who came out to the boat. We ended up feeding the whole village. Another great Cafe with a traditional fish meal and banana fritters with chocolate sauce. Lots of photos with locals. The next photos are from Mamuju City. Our first visitors were the Water Police checking our documents. When we went ashore the Harbour Master also wanted to see us which took 2.5 hours  to sort out.
