Hello Everyone

It was a hard slog heading north (450 nm) to our current anchorage at Pulau Dalang which is 8 nm from Rebak Marina in Langkawi. Strong currents with the wind on the nose the whole way. We only averaged 4 Knots for the entire passage.  We also had to dodge fishing nets on a daily basis, constantly on the lookout.  At one overnight anchorage the local fisherman managed to tangle there nets around our keel when they were pulling in there catch at 2100 hours. They tried to free it but in the end they had to cut the net to pull it off the keel. A very tense time. We will be heading to the marina tomorrow where we will be spending Christmas with family. We are also looking forward to seeing friends who are visiting from home.

The next photos are from the Admiral Marina at Port Dickson. Another great spot with access to pool and restaurants. Three days after we left the marina was destroyed by a Cyclone.

The next photos are from Lumut were we took shelter from the Cyclone. We have never seen so much rain. We only managed to get ashore twice during the week we were there.

The next photos are from our passage to Penang and our time there in the Strait Quay Marina. We passed under 2 bridges between Penang and the Main Land. The bridges never look high enough when you pass under them.

We visited Penang Hill which involved taking the cable car. Very crowded.

Lots of street Food

A lot of British History

The next photos are from Pulau Dalang where there is fresh water lake.  This is a popular tourist spot especially for Jet ski tours.

We misjudged the tide.
