Hello Everyone

We arrived in Kendari on 21/2/24  and stayed there for 4 days taking on more fuel and beer at last. From there we headed south to Raha and then through the Burton Strait to Bau Bau. From there we headed east to Bira Bira which involved one overnighter. From there we headed south to the Island of Flores which involved a 2 night passage. We are currently anchored at Labuan Bajo which is on the western side of Flores which is a very busy tourist destination because of its close proximity to the Komodo  National Park where we are heading to next.

This is Zac and his parents who cooked us a great fish dinner at there outdoor Eatery.




This is my barber he understood a number 3 on the beard but that was about it. He gave me a head massage. I had a audience for the beard trim.




The above photos are from Raha with a huge Mosque and great street food. We were the only western people there.



This is a tropical storm with zero visibility. This storm hit before we were about to enter the Buton Strait. We had to anchor for the night and enter the next day.

Buton Strait has a narrow section where local children come out in their canoes asking for money. They  were very aggressive placing themselves in front of the boat trying to stop us. Very dangerous. We had one grab onto the boat whilst we doing 4.5 knots. We thought he was going to go under the boat.

The above photos are from Bira Bira where they build the Pinisi on the beach. Solid timber vessels hand crafted. Absolutely amazing sight. This is also a popular tourist destination with lots of resorts where we had great meal overlooking our boat at anchor

  Hello Everyone We have had a wonderful time in Langkawi with friends and family. Rebak Island Marina is one of the best Marinas we have stayed in so far. Happy Hour is everyday from 5 to 9 plus 25% of all meals in the Restaurant because we were staying in the marina. We can see why Yachties never leave here. Where to next. Well we have left Langkawi making our way to Phuket in Thailand over the next 10 days. Its only 120 Nm with Islands to stop at on the way.    Hello Everyone It was a hard slog heading north (450 nm) to our current anchorage at Pulau Dalang which is 8 nm from Rebak Marina in Langkawi. Strong currents with the wind on the nose the whole way. We only averaged 4 Knots for the entire passage.  We also had to dodge fishing nets on a daily basis, constantly on the lookout.  At one overnight anchorage the local fisherman managed to tangle there nets around our keel when they were pulling in there catch at 2100 hours. They tried to free it but in the end they had to cut the net to pull it off the keel. A very tense time. We will be heading to the marina tomorrow where we will be spending Christmas with family. We are also looking forward to seeing friends who are visiting from home. The next photos are from the Admiral Marina at Port Dickson. Another great spot with access to pool and restaurants.  Hello Everyone We anchored today (9/8/25) in Kumai on the Kumai River in Kalimantan (Borneo). We have sailed 800 nm since we departed Makassar mainly day sailing. But the last 300 nm there were no good anchorages so it was a 65 hour passage dodging fishing huts, Cargo ships and fishing boats. Sailing to Tubo The next photos are from Tubo. We gave Oreo biscuits to the children who came out to the boat. We ended up feeding the whole village.
