Hello Everyone

We departed Kumai today 20/8/25 heading to Batam (600 nm) where we will exit Indonesia and check into  Malaysia. It is 35 nm from Batam to Malaysia where we have to navigate across the Singapore Strait which is one of the busiest water ways in the world. We decided to not to check into Singapore as it is far easier to catch a ferry across to the island rather than checking in and out just for a week.

The next photos are of Kumai where we anchored in the Kumai River

You have to have a photo when  you get your haircut. The one on the left wants a Australian an Husband.

The next photos  are from our trip up the Sekonyer River.  It was a 2 day 1 Night cruise . There was only 3 other people on board from Spain and England. The accommodation is very basic but the food and crew where fantastic. The river is a very busy water way with boats and tourist.

Our Boat

Our sleeping arrangement. Thankfully there was no snoring. The crew cover the beds in Mosquito nets each night.
